View other stories on this topicIn 1939 my father and his brothers bought 2 Diamond T 3/4 ton panel trucks. one was sold in the early 40's but my father kept his until 1963. I have many pictures of our beloved Diamond T, which was not only our work truck but also our family transportation until I got a car in 1951. I still have the emblem from the horn, and the nameplate from the engine compartment. I am delighted that other people share my affection for Diamond T's. Tom Karones

North Korean Diamond Ts????
RDWeeter - Jul 15, 2005 - 10:51 PM
View other stories on this topicHere is a tantalizing tidbit... Apparently after WWII, North Korea couldn’t get permission or didn't have the capital to import heavy equipment such as Russian tractors and specifically, American Diamond T trucks – so they simply disassembled them and copied them without license. If this is true, it may mean that there are still counterfeit Diamond T trucks out there (at least in Korea). Now THAT would be a conversation piece. Got the tidbit from the book below....

Diamond T Book

View other stories on this topicGo to the website www.armybooks.com They have a book on 56 Years of Diamond T. Basically a compilation of old advertising, but fun to look at nonetheless. It gives you quite a bit of information on vairants, model numbers, cab options, etc. About $48 with shipping. Looks like a limited production of 1000 copies, and whoever made it , looks like they are planning a Volume 2.
